ACOUSTIC TREATMENT FOR CONTROL PANEL ROOM
ADVANCED ACOUSTIC SOLUTION FOR A GOVERNMENT BUILDING IN ANGOLA
SOUNDPROOFING FOR THE ANGOLA GOVERNMENT
SECTOR: Public services.
TREATMENTS: Acoustic treatment

ACOUSTIC CHALLENGE
Angola has been experiencing an economic recovery in recent years with growth of its Gross Domestic Product in sectors such as agriculture, mining and construction. In this context, investment in infrastructures is essential to favour the country's development. HiAcoustic has implemented an advanced acoustic solution in a government building in Angola, complying with a series of acoustic requirements. A fundamental premise was to ensure that the operation of the generators was maintained in an efficient manner, preventing the noise produced from affecting the environment or negatively impacting the building's daily activities. This has involved proper management of air intake and exhaust without compromising acoustic comfort, as well as the incorporation of exhaust systems with the aim of reducing noise levels as much as possible. The project also needed to comply with international soundproofing and safety standards to provide a high performance and durable solution.
STRATEGIC APPROACH
HiAcoustic's approach focused on integrating an advanced acoustic solution that would respect the physical spaces available and the functionality of the generator sets. To achieve this, Hiacoustic developed a comprehensive strategy based on a detailed technical analysis of the acoustic requirements of the space. The design of a customised solution that took into account the different noise sources (e.g. vibrations, air or exhaust gases) and a selection of high-strength and high-density materials to ensure lasting acoustic attenuation.
TECHNICAL SOLUTION
HiAcoustic has integrated a specific acoustic solution in this project to address the different noise sources and improve the sound conditions in the building.
Air intake and exhaust silencers
Exhaust gas silencers
RESULTS
Thanks to the work carried out by HiAcoustic, the project has managed to exceed the client's acoustic expectations, achieving the objectives set. A noise reduction of 42 dBA has been achieved in the generator room of this government building in Angola creating a more functional and controlled environment. The solution that has been implemented contributes to increased equipment performance with a more efficient air intake and exhaust system and a high quality solution capable of withstanding long-term operational demands.
