Acoustic improvement in a chimney for the telecommunications industry

Acoustic challenge
This acoustic challenge was related to the noise generated by a generator set. The problem was exacerbated by the noise from the existing chimney, which was affecting operational efficiency.

Strategic approach
The strategic approach focused on the installation of an exhaust silencer designed to attenuate low frequency noise, something the existing installation was unable to do.

Technical solution
The technical solution consisted of designing special parts for the coupling to ensure an accurate and efficient connection. The exhaust was supported by a structural tubular cage that provided the necessary rigidity and allowed it to tilt in order to match the morphology of the installation. We decided that the HA-SE-40/500 model was the best possible exhaust for this situation.

Results
The ability of the new exhaust to attenuate low frequencies effectively solved the problem of noise transmitted through the chimney, whose adaptation to a larger diameter was accompanied by the precise installation of special parts to ensure the smooth integration of the exhaust system.
