SOUNDPROOFING OF A BOILER ROOM IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY

Acoustic challenge
A food company faced an acoustic challenge in its boiler room, which lacked any form of treatment to reduce the noise generated by the machines. Given the numerous ventilation grilles on the floor and ceiling to exhaust hot air, the lack of acoustic measures was affecting comfort in the plant and raising concerns about the impact on the cooling of the machines.

Strategic approach
The strategic approach focused on addressing the lack of acoustic treatment in the boiler room. It was decided to install silencers to effectively reduce the noise, which would make it possible to improve the acoustic conditions without compromising efficiency in terms of cooling the machines.

Technical solution
The rectangular silencers developed for this project were custom designed to meet the specific needs of the industrial environment and were strategically installed to reduce noise without obstructing the airflow required to cool the boilers.

Results
This case study demonstrates how the implementation of specific technical solutions can successfully address acoustic challenges in industrial environments while simultaneously improving comfort and operational performance.
